Formation and History:
The Uganda Bodybuilding and Fitness Association is a sports organization formed to promote and regulate the sport of bodybuilding and fitness within Uganda. The association was typically established by individuals passionate about the sport and seeking to create a platform for athletes to compete, grow, and represent their country on the international stage.
Mission and Objectives:
UBBFA has a mission to promote physical fitness, healthy lifestyles, and the development of bodybuilding and fitness as a recognized sport. We work toward organizing competitions, supporting athletes, and fostering a community of fitness enthusiasts.

This is located to the northeast of Gulu, shares a similar history of resilience. Despite being deeply affected by the conflict that plagued the region, Kitgum has been on a path to recovery. The town is surrounded by lush greenery and provides a glimpse into the traditional Acholi way of life. Visitors can explore local markets, engage with artisans, and learn about the region’s rich cultural heritage.
Lira:
This is another prominent city in the Northern region, is an important agricultural center. The fertile soils in this area support the cultivation of crops like maize, millet, and groundnuts. Lira also boasts a vibrant cultural scene, with traditional dance performances and music festivals that celebrate the diverse ethnic groups living in the region.
Arua:
This is situated in the northwest, is a bustling trading hub and a gateway to neighboring countries. It’s a place where various cultures converge, creating a vibrant atmosphere. The town’s proximity to the borders with South Sudan and the Democratic Republic of Congo has made it a vital center for trade and commerce.
Adjumani and Nebbi:
These are located in the western part of the Northern region, are known for their scenic beauty. Adjumani is home to the majestic Murchison Falls, a spectacular natural wonder where the Nile River forces its way through a narrow gorge. Nebbi, on the other hand, boasts lush landscapes and fertile lands that support agriculture, particularly the cultivation of oil palm and rice.
Pader and Oyam:
These are found in the central part of the Northern region, have also shown remarkable resilience in the face of adversity. These districts are known for their agricultural activities, with communities engaged in farming, livestock rearing, and forestry. Pader, in particular, is a place where you can witness the enduring spirit of its people as they rebuild their lives and communities.
Apac:
This is situated to the east of the Northern region, offers a serene and picturesque setting. The district is characterized by rolling hills, serene lakes, and vast farmlands. It’s a place where you can immerse yourself in the tranquility of rural life and appreciate the beauty of nature.
